Alexander Muromcew is a managing director and active equity portfolio manager with the TIAA organization. Mr. Muromcew manages emerging markets equity portfolios. He joined the TIAA organization in 2004.Mr. Muromcew has 28 years of investment experience. Previously, he was a vice president and portfolio manager for the Loomis Sayles International portfolio for five years and co-manager of the Nicholas Applegate International portfolio for three years. He began his career as a sell-side analyst for Jardine Fleming Securities in Tokyo and also worked for Teton Partners, an international long/short hedge strategy in Boston.Mr. Muromcew holds a B.A. in East Asian studies from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is fluent in Japanese.
