Kiran Bhageshpur is CEO and cofounder of Igneous Systems, where he aims to take his 20 years of systems development experience at both startup companies and large enterprise vendors to redefine how elastic, cloud-like services can be delivered at a scale appropriate for the customer premises. Prior to Igneous Systems, Kiran served as VP, Engineering for the Isilon Storage Division of EMC through its growth to over $1B per year in revenue. Prior to the acquisition by EMC, Kiran held several company leadership positions through Isilon’s rapid growth from $100M per year in 2008. Prior to Isilon, Kiran led engineering teams at Questra (now part of Parametric Technology), Lucent Technologies, and Latitude Communications (acquired by Cisco). Early in his career, Kiran was an engineer at ABB-Systems Controls. Kiran received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University and his master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas, Arlington.
Kiran has also spent close to two decades whitewater kayaking at all levels and has navigated multiple Class V rapids throughout the world.
