Alex Erhart is a partner at Trinity Capital Investment and manages portfolio maintenance and overall operations. With over 25 years of high-tech experience, Alex has over 50 patents and has been the founder and CEO of two successful venture-backed startups. Prior to joining Trinity, he served as executive vice president of engineering and operations at Sand9, a MEMS timing manufacturer. Prior to joining Sand9, he served as the executive vice president of products for Validity, a biometric fingerprint sensor manufacturer where he served as the CEO from 2003 to 2006.Prior to joining Validity, Alex served as the general manager of the biometrics division at National Semiconductor Corporation. Alex was the founder and CEO of Vivid Semiconductor, an LCD display technology startup that was purchased by National Semiconductor in 2000. Alex has authored ten technical presentations and served on the board of directors of three technology corporations and one charitable organization. Alex has a B.S. in electrical engineering from Arizona State University.
