Vera Kobalia is the former Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. In 2019, Ms. Kobalia was recognized as Business in Vancouver's (Canada) Forty Under 40. She was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2012. She is currently a Board Director at Sandstorm Gold and an Economic Development Advisory Committee Member for the City of New Westminster. Previously, she was an International Advisor for the Australian Government and held the role of Deputy Chair of the Board for the Astana Expo National Company in Kazakhstan. Ms. Kobalia is an AsiaGlobal Fellow at the University of Hong Kong (researching: Blockchain technologies for Public Sector/ Registries) and a member of the People’s Panel at the Centre for Public Impact (BCG) in London, UK. She is also a co-founder of Apolitical Caucasus, supporting a new generation of transformational public leaders.
