Tracy Barba is the Director of Communications for Social Finance. Tracy has over 15 years experience designing marketing strategies and fundraising initiatives for investment funds, investors, thought leaders and companies focused on catalyzing new markets. Previously she was the Chief Marketing Officer for Bamboo Finance, a $250M private equity impact investment fund with a portfolio of 46 investments operating in more than 30 countries, where she managed fund product development, marketing and thought leadership initiatives. She was formerly the Executive Director for Golden Seeds, a 250 member angel investor network and fund investing in women-led companies. She was the VP of Marketing with VantagePoint Venture Partners CleanTech Practice; a firm with $5B AUM. She directed marketing at InterWest Venture Partners, a $3B fund manager investing in early-stage Life Science and Information Technology companies, and Gabriel Venture Partners, a $300M fund manager investing in disruptive models and capital efficient companies. She led the training consulting services practice based on the best selling book Slide:ology for Duarte, the firm behind the presentation for “An Inconvenient Truth." She has provided marketing, strategy and development services to Take Action Impact Investing Conference Series, a convening of asset managers and investors focused on impact investing; Hub Ventures, an accelerator focused on funding early-stage social enterprises: Big Bang Philanthropy, a network of foundations focused on advancing unrestricted funding solutions to organizations with proven impact; and New Media Ventures, the first national network of angel investors focused on funding startups that are creating progressive political change. She has been a mentor and faculty member to leading fellows programs including the Global Social Business Incubator, Pipeline Fellowship, PopTech Social Innovation Fellows, Unreasonable Institute, Echoing Green, and Rainer Arnhold Fellows.
