Thomas Meyer founded Auris Medical in April 2003, dedicating a substantial share of his personal wealth to this exciting venture. Before, he had been CEO of Disetronic Group, a leading Swiss supplier of precision infusion and injection systems with approximately 1200 employees.

He had been working in various functions for the rapidly growing company since 1988, becoming member of the Board of Directors in 1996, Deputy CEO in 1999 and CEO in early 2000. Prior to joining Disetronic as a member of the Group Management, he had been advising several Swiss companies in the areas of strategy, marketing, and corporate finance.

Thomas Meyer served on the Board of Directors of several other companies in various industries. He holds a PhD in business administration.
