Ray founded Caber Financial in 2017 after an extensive executive career in banking across 5 continents in multiple Chairman, Board, Chief Executive and business leadership roles.

Prior to launching Caber Financial, Ray was Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer of Bank ABC where he provided strategic leadership, delivered business repositioning and growth, and managed governance across all of BABC’s global banking businesses. Formerly Ray had a long career at Standard Chartered Bank, serving as CEO Singapore from 2009 until 2014, and Regional CEO, SEA from 2007 to 2012. Under his leadership, SC's business across SEA experienced significant growth with income and profit doubling over 4 years and Singapore becoming the 2nd largest contributor to Group profits. Other roles with Standard Chartered include CEO Americas, CEO UAE, CEO Indonesia, and CEO Taiwan.

Ray holds an MBA from Henley Management College, and is an Associate of the Institute of Bankers in Scotland. He was also a Distinguished Fellow of the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore, and is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors. Ray is currently an Independent Director of Halcyon Agri Corporation Ltd. and Non-Executive Chairman of Singapore Life Pte. Ltd.
