Peter Somerville is Director of Developer Relations at Elixxir, where he is building a node network to support Elixxir's privacy-protecting transaction platform for messaging, payments, and dApps. A current MBA candidate at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management, Peter also serves as an advisor to early-stage startups as a fellow in the university's MIN-Corps program, and works as an associate for Gopher Angels, a Minneapolis-based angel investor network.

Peter previously served as Director of Investor Relations at StreetShares, a startup providing financial services to veteran-owned small businesses. Peter began his career as an infantry officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, leading a platoon of Marines in combat in Iraq. Following his military service, Peter has held leadership roles with non-profits and political campaigns, driving social change by focusing on fundraising, project management, and event planning. A Minnesota native, Peter earned his bachelor's degree from Yale University.
