Paul Shen is an expert in the digital video area and a successful serial entrepreneur. Paul was the founder and CEO at Imedia Corporation, a leader in digital video communication that was acquired by Terayon in 1999. Imedia Corporation delivered the first statistical re-multiplexer, CherryPicker, which played a central role in digital television distribution in cable and satellite TV services. Previously, Paul defined the hardware architecture for General Instrument's first all-digital television system and the first digital high definition television (HDTV) system. He served as a General Instrument representative to the MPEG Committee, where he chaired the MPEG4 Syntax Group and led the effort to define a new object-oriented descriptive language. Paul holds 10 patents. Paul's most recent U.S. company, Open Harbor, where he was co-founder and CEO, provided web-based services for international trade facilitation. Paul has a B.S. from the New York Institute of Technology and a M.S. degree from M.I.T., under well-known professor William Schreiber
