N.J. Nicholas, Jr. has been a Member of the Board of Directors at Boston Scientific since 1994 and is a private investor.

Previously, Nicholas served as President of Time, Inc. from September 1986 to May 1990 and Co-Chief Executive Officer of Time Warner, Inc. from May 1990 until February 1992. Nicholas, who joined Time Inc. in 1964, held a number of executive positions during his 30-year career with the company.

Nicholas is a Member of the Board of Directors of Time Warner Cable, Inc. and he previously served as a Member of the Board of Directors of Xerox Corporation.

Nicholas has also served as a Member of the President’s Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations and the President’s Commission on Environmental Quality.

Nicholas is a Member of the Council of Foreign Relations. Nicholas is also a Member of the Board of Advisors of The Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions at Duke University.

Nicholas attended Phillips Academy at Andover, Massachusetts, and received an AB degree magna cum laude in Economics from Princeton University in 1962 and an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School in 1964.
