Mike Gioja is the senior vice president of information technology, product management and development at Paychex, Inc., where he has paired the company’s dedicated, personal service with a new, innovative software-as-a-service technology and mobility platform to offer solutions that meet the needs of businesses today and in the future. Gioja is a senior executive with more than 35 years of experience in product management and strategy, as well as software and information technology.

During his time at Paychex, Gioja has led his teams through the creation of product road maps and the launch of Paychex Flex, the company’s cloud platform that offers a streamlined and integrated approach to human capital management. Gioja has led his team through an agile transformation, driving innovation and effecting cultural change at Paychex. Throughout his career, Gioja has led the implementation of large-scale ERP platforms and applications, as well as best-of-breed SaaS applications. He has held senior leadership positions with companies including IBM, American Express, Fidelity, SAP, and PeopleSoft.

A native of New York City, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the State University of New York at Oswego.
