Mr. Culbert has over thirty years of diverse experience in the oil and gas industry. Mike has held managerial and executive positions with a number of Calgary, Alberta, Canada based energy companies, including Progress Energy, Encal Energy and Home oil. He is currently President & CEO, and a Director of Progress Energy Canada Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of PETRONAS, the national oil and gas company of Malaysia. Progress Energy is a Canadian energy company primarily focused on unconventional natural gas exploration, development and production in northeast British Columbia and northwest Alberta. In addition, Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors of Pacific NorthWest LNG Ltd. Prior to his current position, Mr. Culbert was the President and CEO of Progress Energy Resources Corp. and has provided leadership at Progress Energy since its recapitalization in 2001. Mr. Culbert has served as a director on a number of private and public energy company boards and is a past member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers Board of Governors.
