Matt enjoys investing in companies with thoughtful, adaptive management teams. He believes that companies with strong core principles will have a positive lasting effect on their communities.

Prior to joining Sorenson Capital, Matt worked as an investment banking healthcare analyst in the New York City office at Lazard. Matt’s experience at Lazard included advising Aetna on its pending $77 billion sale to CVS Health, and advising Owens & Minor on its pending $710 million acquisition of the Surgical & Infection Prevention business of Halyard Health.

Matt graduated with a Masters in Accounting, Professional, and a Minor in Mathematics from Brigham Young University. He was Scholar All-American and Dive Captain of the BYU Men’s Swim and Dive team. Matt is also fluent in Spanish.
