Marka is an advisor and board member at Stitch Fix, bringing years of retail experience as the former President of Gap North America and Banana Republic to the team. At Gap, Marka was responsible for all aspects of the Gap brand, including global design and marketing. Prior to Gap, Marka held the position of President of Banana Republic for four years. Marka started her retail career at Robinson’s department store in 1977 holding buying positions in Women’s and Men’s before joining Gap in 1987. Marka has been a merchandise and marketing advisor for Sur la Table, where she has served as a director, since 2001, and is a director at True Religion. Marka holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Loyola Marymount University.
