Marc Nan Tu graduated from Xi’an Jiaotong University Mechanical Engineering Department and University of Minnesota, USA with a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering. He has many years of experience as manufacturing engineers for various companies such as Seagate Technology Inc.

He was a visiting scholar with Microsoft Research Asia. He is currently an associate professor with Tsinghua University.
His research interests are human computer interfaction and manufacturing system design.
