Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Orb Networks Inc.

Luc has more than ten years experience in design and integration of multimodal and multiuser technologies, specializing in rapid prototyping and user studies. He is an author and co-author of more than 50 scientific publications and has several patents related to human computer interaction.

Prior to joining Orb, Luc created and led the Computer Human Interaction Center! (CHIC!) at SRI International. CHIC! was a cross-disciplinary group of scientists specializing in the research, design, development, and evaluation of new styles of user interfaces to complex systems. While with CHIC!, Luc collaborated with numerous academic and commercial institutions.

During his tenure at SRI Luc helped start Nuance Communications, now a world leader in speech technologies.

He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications de Paris, France, and a Masters and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the Universita Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, France.
