With his involvement in the CDL, Ken Moore is now in the third stage of his career. His first was playing professional football with the Calgary Stampeders and Saskatchewan Roughriders from 1983-1994, winning two Grey Cups in 1989 and 1992 and becoming the captain of the.

During his final year in football, he was part of a group out of the University of Calgary that started TENET Medical Engineering. Ken was president and guided the company for 20 years from a startup to asale to a global orthopaedic company, Smith & Nephew, in 2011. The company grew from a basic startup with no products to the global leader in positioning for arthroscopic shoulder surgery with over $30 million in annual sales to over 50 countries around the world. The company developed and manufactured products in Calgary. Ken initiated and led a medical device development program, partnering with the provincial Alberta government, federal government, University of Calgary, and the Western Orthopaedic and Arthritis Research Foundation to aid companies in developing medical devices. TENET Medical Engineering donated a portion of their profits back to the University of Calgary.

The last donation was used to start a TENET Innovation to Technology award program that provides an annual $100,000 award to a startup medical company originating from the University of Calgary. Ken is active in the development of the program and mentors the companies that win the annual competition. Ken is also involved in mentoring startup medical companies and is part of the Venture Mentoring Service of Alberta (VMSA). Ken has been involved in coaching high school football since retiring from the sport and was awarded the Calgary Volunteer Football Coach of the year in 2009.
