Jose Aznar has been the President of the Foundation for Social Studies and Analysis, a political research and educational organization focused on Spain, since 1989.

José was a Distinguished Scholar at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Georgetown University from 2004 to 2011.

Since 2011, José has been a Distinguished Fellow at the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, where he is also Chairman of the Atlantic Basin Initiative.
