John Buttery has been an entrepreneur and a strategic consultant for over 25 years. His areas of expertise include software development, advertising and technology licensing in several industries.

He is currently the CEO at Anivax, an autogenous vaccine development company in Tucson, Arizona. Previously, John has been an executive in numerous startups and private equity backed ventures, including SkiView (advertising at ski resorts - acquired), Pony Panels (8-sheet billboards - acquired), DigitalGlobe (satellite imagery - IPO), ProSource Dev (Microsoft ERP - acquired) and Natural Resources GIS (software and data development).

Mr. Buttery has created a well-regarded methodology for quickly commercializing products in various stages of development and across a variety of market segments. The proven approach has been used to successfully take products to market while rapidly building shareholder value.

John has a BS in Finance and an MBA from the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. He is a graduate of the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship and a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award, Eller College of Management. For many years, Buttery has served as a final judge for the McGuire Entrepreneurship Business Plans Competition. He is an Executive in Residence at Tech Launch Arizona.
