As Managing Partner of the 412 Venture Fund, Ilana leads Fund activities, including evaluating early stage companies for investment, supporting the growth of portfolio companies and leading "Founder-First'' initiatives. She also serves as a Strategic Advisor to the fund's parallel effort to expand opportunities in entrepreneurship for women, Black, LatinX and other underrepresented founders.Prior to joining 412 Venture Fund, Ilana served as Managing Director of Innovation Works' Riverfront Ventures and the founding Managing Director of Alphalab Gear, where she helped startups make rapid progress through the early stages of product and customer development. In earlier roles, Ilana led and grew tech companies from startup to exit - building management teams, raising venture capital, and managing mergers and acquisitions from both sides of the table (buyer and seller). Ilana also spent time as a management consultant for PwC where she provided strategy advice, turnaround assistance, and merger and acquisition support to Fortune 500, middle-market, and growing companies.Throughout Ilana's career, she has served in leadership roles on boards of private companies and not-for-profit organizations. Ms. Diamond's academic background includes a B.A. in Biological Sciences and Economics from Northwestern University, and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
