Georg Stratenwerth joined Advent International GmbH in Frankfurt in 2003 where he was joint General Manager. In 2008, he took on the task to establish a team focusing on opportunities in the Indian market and subsequently opened and headed up the Mumbai office. Since 2012 his Western Europe responsibilities include heading up the Industrial sector team based in London. He has 20 years of private equity experience.

Prior to Advent, Georg worked for JP Morgan Partners as head of their Munich office, focusing on industrial buyouts and growth equity transactions. During his time there, he led, co-led or participated in 15 investments including Tes Media, AHC Oberflächentechnik, Casa Reha, Gerresheimer Glass, Kloeckner Pentaplast and Siteco Industrial Lighting. Prior to JP Morgan, Georg worked as a management consultant at Mercer Management Consulting and Roland Berger & Partner.
