Drew Pinsky was born on September 4, 1958 in Pasadena, California. After earning his M.D. in 1984, he began appearing on a local radio show to answer medical questions, which eventually turned into Loveline, a show that offered medical and relationship advice. The radio show went national in the mid 90s and launched a television version on MTV in 1996, which Pinsky co-hosted. After appearing on a number of reality television educational series, Pinsky found success as producer and host in 2008 with Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, which lasted six seasons and led to the spinoffs Sober House and Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew. From 2011 to 2016 Pinsky hosted the HLN show, Dr. Drew On Call, and also hosted the short-lived daytime show Lifechangers on The CW.
