David has been involved in the technology industry for over eleven years. He co-founded with his brother, Michael Mason, an Internet retail company, SpeedServe, in 1994 and successfully grew the business from a two-person start-up into a 40-person organization selling Books, Videos, DVDs and Video Game hardware and software with customers in over 60 different countries. The company merged with BuyComp in 1998 to become Buy.com creating the 2nd largest Internet retailer behind [Amazon](/organization/amazon). David was the CEO of Buy.com Europe, a joint venture between Buy.com, Softbank, NewsCorp and Vivendi, and developed and launched the French and German businesses. David was a featured guest on CNNfn and CNN, was a featured speaker addressing Fortune 500 business leaders at the Business Week E-Business Forum, appeared in several NY Times articles and presented E-Commerce experiences to [IBM](/organization/ibm) executives at the IBM Global Sales Conference.
