Claudio Bianco received a Dr. Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (Italy) in 1995. After serving his military duty in the Italian Navy, he joined Telecom Italia Lab (formerly CSELT), that is the Telecom Italia Group's Company for study, research, experimentation and qualification in the field of Telecommunications and Information Technology. The fields of his research and engineering activities are addressed towards energy efficiency, innovative power and air-conditioning systems, energy storage, new equipment’s power consumption and deployment of new Ultra-BroadBand access networks (FTTx architectures). He is also involved in ETSI EE (Environmental Engineering, chairing the working Group EE1) and ITU-T/ SG5 (TI’s delegate for Q13 and Q17 activities) standardization groups.
