Christine Larsen joined First Data as executive vice president and chief operations officer in June 2013, to lead the company’s global operations with a view toward continuously improving the total customer experience. She is a direct report of CEO Frank Bisignano and serves on First Data’s Management Committee.

Larsen joins First Data from JPMorgan Chase & Co. where, since January 2012, Larsen was executive vice president responsible for firm-wide process improvement and enterprise program management, with a focus on control and integration efforts.

Prior to that, she was COO for Treasury and Securities Services, overseeing more than 20,000 operations and technology resources in payments, trade and investor services. Larsen led other critical operations for JPMorgan Chase, including check and item processing as those services moved to imaging and the integration of Bear Sterns and Washington Mutual.

Prior to joining JPMorgan, she was managing director at Citigroup serving in multiple leadership roles, including head of high-net-worth operations at Smith Barney (where she was a First Data debit-card customer), co-head of global operations for the Global Investment Bank, and a member of the management committee and head of client delivery for Global Transaction Services. Citi Global Transaction Services was a transaction processing business with a global network spanning 90 countries that provided cash management, trade, securities and fund services to financial institutions and corporate clients around the world. Larsen has led teams of all sizes in large, global matrix organizations.

Before joining Citigroup, she was a senior technology consultant for Accenture in its New York Financial Services practice.

Larsen is a graduate of Syracuse University, where she earned a master’s degree in information management, and of Cornell College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English.

She serves on the Syracuse University Board of Trustees and is chairwoman of the Foundation Board of the Borough of Manhattan Community College (CUNY).
