Christian Hecker leads the development and strategic development of the Trade Republic Bank. He founded FinTech together with Thomas Pischke and Marco Cancellieri in 2015 to bring commission-free securities trading to everyone on their cell phones.

Before founding the Trade Republic, Christian had many years of experience in banking and finance. He has worked in Bank of America Merrill Lynch's Investment Banking and advised on a variety of capital market transactions in the start-up and technology sectors.

Christian has two bachelor’s degrees in business administration and philosophy from the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich.
