Chet Kumar is Vice President of Life Science, Commercial for Verana Health, heading life science market development, sales, and support. He has 20 years of life science technology experience in sales, marketing, healthcare reimbursement, strategic planning, and team leadership. Prior to joining Verana, Mr. Kumar held numerous marketing, reimbursement, and sales positions at VisionCare Ophthalmic Technologies, including Vice President of Sales and Market Development and Vice President of Corporate Development and Innovation. In these roles, he advanced clinical development and commercialization of the first-ever implantable medical device for age-related macular degeneration, including gaining novel CPT coding from the American Medical Association and Medicare coverage across all regional contractors. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kumar held analyst, marketing, and operations positions at venture-backed technology startups Oculex Pharmaceuticals (acq. by Allergan) and Incyte Pharmaceuticals.

Mr. Kumar earned his clinical doctorate, Doctor of Physical Therapy, from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California at San Diego.
