Brian V. Mooney brings more than thirty-five years of leadership experience in financial services, payment technology, processing and acquisition to his role as Chief Executive Officer at Merchant Customer Exchange (MCX).

Most recently, Mooney was CEO and board member of Bank of America Merchant Services, one of the largest U.S. merchant payment acquirers, which serves a significant segment of large U.S. merchants and handling billions of transactions. As CEO, Mooney oversaw all aspects of client engagement, product strategies including mobile, sales, operations, risk, and compliance. He was previously Chief Financial Officer, and later President, of First Data Merchant Services, which provides payment technology and services to millions of merchants including many with global operations.

Before joining First Data, Mooney was the University Comptroller for the University of Colorado and began his career as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young. Mooney graduated from University of Colorado University at Boulder with a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration in Accounting.
